- They’re going to smell after a while – When you wear gloves as a delivery driver, you’re going to sweat a fair amount and your gloves will start to smell after a while. A couple of options are to rotate between a few pairs to allow them to air out or wear a pair of disposable gloves underneath. The latter option can make your hands clammy though.
- Using scanners/smart phone – Whilst some of the gloves we recommend kind of work with touch screen devices, they tend to be unreliable due to the thickness of the gloves. If you find this to be the case, one option is to cut the ends off the fingers you need to use.
- Don’t spend too much – When you’re regularly using gloves to hold and pick things up as you do when you’re a delivery driver, the grip on the gloves will quickly wear away regardless of how expensive they were. You’re going to need a fresh pair regularly anyway so you’re better off going with cheaper gloves.
- Try a few different pairs – If you’re going to be replacing your gloves frequently anyway, it makes sense to try a few different pairs and settle on the ones you find the most comfortable and best to work with.
- See if your company supplies gloves – It’s worth checking with your company as to whether they will provide gloves for you. It can get quite expensive when you purchase them yourself so it’s deffinetely worth taking them up on the offer if they do.

Overall, the DEX FIT Nitrile Work Gloves are our top pick for the best gloves for delivery drivers. They’re a popular choice among delivery drivers on Reddit and they offer good value when you consider the price and how long a pair lasts.
Most people find a pair lasts around 1 – 2 months when working as a delivery driver which will work out to a cost of around $3 – $5 per month. Whilst a couple of months might seem a very short lifespan, even the grip on even more expensive gloves will wear out fairly quickly too.
These gloves have good dexterity to make it easy to use scanners and other devices. They kind of work with touch screens too but aren’t particularly reliable. You should be okay with simple tasks but don’t expect to be able to write an essay.
They’re breathable and machine washable which you will want to make use of, particularly if you have sweaty hands. They are widely praised for their good grip when handling boxes and gripping a steering wheel.
Whilst they’re great for protecting your hands and aiding your grip, they’re not designed for warmth. The Vgo Polyurethane Coated Work Gloves are another good option and offer great value for your money. They’re cheaper than the DEX FIT gloves but don’t last as long so tend to work out costing about the same over the long run.
They’re lightweight, have good dexterity, are breathable, and machine washable. So very similar to the DEX FITs in this regard.
They’re not quite as grippy as the DEX FITs and a few people struggle to get a good grip on boxes which is of course important for a delivery driver. They do seem to be in the minority though and most don’t have any problems.
They don’t work with touch screens very well either, and whilst the DEX FITs struggle here too, the Vgo gloves seem to be even worse.
The advantage of the Vgo gloves is that they’re cheap so they could be a great option if you won’t be lifting a lot of heavy stuff and you can get a good amount of use out of each pair.
These gloves aren’t designed to keep your hands warm. If that’s what you’re looking for, the next pair on our list are for you.

Finally we have the Superior Winter Work Gloves which are our top pick for delivery drivers working in cold conditions. They are a bit more expensive than the previous gloves on our list but that’s expected due to their added insulation. However they do tend to last longer at around 2 – 3 months.
They have a crinkle-palm coating that stays flexible at cold temperatures which is importing for getting a good grip on boxes. Due to the insulation, the dexterity isn’t quite as good as the previous gloves on our list, but it’s not too bad either.
Like the other gloves, these don’t work particularly well with touch screens and you may want to consider cutting the tip of a finger off if you really need to use a touch screen.
They are quick drying and the palm side of the glove is water-resistant, but the red part is not so you will want to avoid getting them wet where possible. It might be worth putting a pair of latex gloves over the top when it’s super heavy rain, but this will come at the expense of your grip.
